“On behalf of everyone involved with Art at the Mill, we would like to extend an invitation to demonstrate and share your talent with the students of Arnold Mill Elementary on Friday, January 14, 2011. Art at the Mill is a day devoted to arts education in which various artists from the community come to Arnold Mill Elementary in Woodstock. The purpose of Art at the Mill is to enlighten young minds by exposing them to different types of art so that they may broaden their definition of art. The hands on approach our guests adopt with the students, provides a rare glimpse into how art is created and is fun! Students also participate in a student art gallery and contest to showcase their own works of art.†– Mandi Harris-Domohowski (Vice President, Arnold Mill Elementary PTA, and Art at the Mill Guest Artist Coordinator).
Lethal Rhythms would like to extend our appreciation for this opportunity. Our team is thrilled to be a part of the enrichment of education! We have prepared a wide variety of music and we can’t wait to perform for the students, parents, and facility. As always, Lethal Rhythms is devoted to making a difference in the entertainment industry, starting with the appreciation for art.
“As an artist and a mother, I believe strongly in this event, especially at a time when arts education in schools is very limited compared to other discipline areas.â€- Mandi Harris-Domohowski (Vice President, Arnold Mill Elementary PTA, and Art at the Mill Guest Artist Coordinator).
“This art program was started 11 years ago at Arnold Mill Elementary and has been enjoyed by teachers, students, staff, parents and artists alike. The students are exposed to and participate in various visual and performing arts projects that they might otherwise never have an opportunity to experience. For example, last year our students were entertained by an amazing dance demonstration by a dance/theatrical group. They learned how to draw Manga cartoons, listened to a classical pianist, and watched a lamp work glass bead artist and a metal sculptor create their pieces. They were also exposed to the gifts of a basket weaver, a photographer, a Chinese brush painter and a wheel potter!†– Mandi Harris-Domohowski (Vice President, Arnold Mill Elementary PTA, and Art at the Mill Guest Artist Coordinator).

Participating in a variety of events has definitely helped us grow in many aspects. Working with students and providing them with an educational experience is an honor on behalf of Lethal Rhythms. Thank you Arnold Mill Elementary and staff for giving Lethal Rhythms the opportunity to share an educational experience and a day of appreciation for the arts.
It’s unfortunate this event has been rescheduled due to the weather conditions! We will keep everyone updated on when it will be rescheduled. We are extremely excited and can’t wait to be a part of this educational experience!
