The Farm at Old Edwards hosts memorable events of rustic elegance whether your dream wedding calls for black tie or Bluegrass. In a breathtaking 33-acre pastoral setting, surrounded by lush landscaping and pristine North Carolina mountain forests, The Farm at the Old Edwards features indoor and outdoor venues for up to 275 guests. Memorable events come to life year-round in the barn, the barn pavilion, an event lawn, an all-white wedding garden and a bridal pavilion.
The Barn and Barn Pavilion
Heart pine flooring, Adirondack-style furnishings and a substantial stone fireplace provide a elegantly rustic setting. The 1,230 square-foot Barn may be utilized for the pre-reception area or for the wedding ceremony. From The Barn, broad doors open onto the 4,900 square-foot stone Barn Pavillion with space to accommodate up to 275 guests. This indoor/outdoor area is bordered by lush perennial gardens and covered arbors, which mirror the rough wood siding and tin roof of The Barn.
The Springhouse
A rustically charming special events facility with a large floor plan and expansive bar, the Springhouse is the perfect setting for your post or pre celebrations. For welcome and after parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding and going away brunches for up to 150 guests.
Old Edwards Guest Estates
The Guest Estates of Old Edwards are multi-bedroom homes that can be rented for leisure and business groups, family gatherings and small weddings. The Guest Estates have full kitchens, and all of them come with privileges and amenities at Old Edwards Inn and Spa, including access to Old Edwards Club.
Piermont Cottage
The historic Piermont Cottage welcomes you to a grand setting nestled in lush landscaping and expansive lawns. The beautiful Victorian estate features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a full kitchen a wrap-around rocking-chair porch and a large stone terrace just off the kitchen, the perfect location for alfresco or tented events.
Hutchinson House
One of Highlands’ oldest residences, Hutchinson House is a four-bedroom farmhouse nestled among in an enchanting wooded setting that includes nature walks, natural water features, gazebos, grassy lawns, a “tree walk” and several garden spaces. Built in 1878 by one of Highlands two founders, this historic property is located one block east on Main Street from Old Edwards Inn and Spa, providing guests with walking access to all the shopping, dining and culture that Highlands has to offer. Hutchinson House may be booked through the regular reservations process at Old Edwards Inn and Spa.
Rockwood Lodge
Rockwood Lodge is a vast family estate located approximately 15 to 20 minutes from Highlands off the Dillard Road. Designed in the mountain vernacular with beautiful wood and stone, Rockwood Lodge features eight bedrooms and multiple gathering areas— indoors and out—and chefs’ kitchen with large center island for entertaining. The home sits atop 350 acres of rolling hills that are rich with history, heritage, trails and trout lakes. The spectacular mountaintop setting is one of the highest peaks in town, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Rockwood Lodge is available for booking through Old Edwards Special Events.
Additional special events facilities at Old Edwards Inn include the Clubhouse and boardroom at Old Edwards Club, and the Old Edwards Private Wine Cellar and Edwards Hall.
