Thursday’s event at the Fox was beyond fun; it was fabulous! For a few minutes, I felt like I was in the movie.  The women around me were gorgeous, dressed ever-so-stylishly from head-to-toe and enjoying the most marvelous martini, appropriately titled, the Fashionista! Not to mention, the Islamic and Egyptian-style architecture of the historic Fox building was super fitting for this Middle Eastern themed film.

After a few fun contests, a little fruity cocktail or two, and some phenomenal cuisine (prepared by the Georgian Terrace’s own Livingston Restaurant), we made our way into the grand theatre! There were nearly 750 of us in the there that night and despite, what many critics have claimed was a weak movie, the crowd seemed to disagree. Throughout the night, we were all oohing and ahhing (did you see Carrie’s amazing closet?!), laughing (“It’s a sand-wedge” -Samantha in response to Charlotte’s tight pants), and clapping (how could you not clap for the girls karaoke rendition of “I am Woman”?)!

Next, the event was moved into the Egyptian Ballroom where we enjoyed incredible pastries by A Tasty Pastry, one of the events’ sponsors, while listening to two super rockin’ DJs, Joel Rabe (CEO of Lethal Rhythms, also an event sponsor) and Mike Beaver, spin some of today’s hottest hits while mixing few older ones in there. Remember, they are professional mix DJs so if you’re ever at one of their events and want to hear something special, put in the request and you’ll get a one-of-a-kind mix!

If all of this wasn’t excellent enough, there was a shoe contest at the after-party (yes, I saw some Monolos strutting past me… super hot!) and there was even a diamond contest by Farsi Jewelers! I know I didn’t win that one, did you? And yes, there was more. There were 4 cabanas set up around the ballroom; each one representing a Sex and the City gal!

Can you guess which star this cabana corresponds to? You got it! This aromatic massage station, run by Massage by Favour, was totally inspired by the sensual Samantha Jones! Favour Spa Services can bring the royal treatment to any party… and they didn’t disappoint at this event!

Cabana number two was prim and artistic, just like Charlotte York Goldenblatt. This booth was filled with amazing, custom-created stationary and invitations by Tickled Ink. I am sure Charlotte would approve of these simply gorgeous designs!

Miranda Hobbes was the muse for KIS3’s Cabana. In the movie, Miranda had studied the Arabian culture. Nirjary Desai brought part of the culture to this Atlanta party by applying her one-of-a-kind a henna designs on the events’ guests!

Finally, the Bradshaw bungalow. Can you guess what it was filled with? Yep – that’d be shoes by Ann Roth! Did you know she has a new wedding collection and can even design a custom pair of pumps just for you?

Well, I hope you were at the event last Thursday. If you weren’t, I hope you can live vicariously through this recap and these flawless photos by talented photog Katrina Wheeler.

We hope to see you at our next sponsored event! Be sure to keep your calendar open and subscribe to our blog to always be the first to know what we’re a part of. You don’t want to miss another unforgettable affair!
