DJ James Jarman

Professional Mix DJ + MC

James started his DJ career in Florida during college with a few friends on kind of a whim. His first event was actually in a parking lot in the middle of no where for a group of bikers Christmas toy run and with a little time and practice he worked his way to opening for a few pretty well known acts for a few thousand people. He has been the DJ for weddings, corporate events, and hopefully your next event. He believes that it is his job to make every event a unique experience for everyone who is attending and one that they will remember for a lifetime. The relationships he builds and maintains are just as important as the music library he has. He takes great pride in his work and is very passionate about the job he does. This Florida native is excited for new surroundings and to work with the best in the business with Lethal Rhythms.

Get To Know DJ James

How long have you been mixing?
I started DJing in college in 2008 and I hope it never stops!

What made you get into the music industry?
It was actually kind of random, family and friends had told me that I would be a good DJ and one day I listened and the rest is history. I have always loved music but not as much as I love being a part of or creating great events and ever since I have been DJing.

Describe your music style.
I would say flexible, because I think it is cliché to say I like all music. I think every event has the right vibe and to set the right vibe you need the right music. I will say that some of my favorite music to play has a lot of energy and maybe even a little Latin flavor, but I am not afraid of any type of music.

What is your favorite event you have DJ/Emceed?
So far one of my favorite events that I have spun for would have to be the Homecoming Concert at the University Of Central Florida. It was such a cool experience to serve as the DJ and MC for my Alma matter and a few thousand of my closest friends and classmates.

Tell us something goofy about yourself.
I mix my own alarm clock songs to wake up to… yea I figure you have to start the day in style!

What advice do you have for potential new clients?
My best advice is for you to be honest with your expectations and be comfortable my ability. I want your event to be everything you dreamed of and more. I understand the importance of your event and I am honored to be a part of it. I also want to make sure that on the day of the event that you are comfortable so that you can truly enjoy every minute of it.

“James was awesome!  He was so helpful and accommodating. 🙂 He helped me out any way he could…and was not scared to roll up his sleeves and lend a helping hand with whatever we needed to get everything ready in time!  The music was great.  Everyone was up dancing so that is WINNING in my book! I really enjoyed working with him and will most definitely keep him in mind for my future weddings!”

“DJ James was so great to work with. He was helpful with all the craziness with the weather and I think he was even helping light the candles. Always like working with you guys!”

“James was my DJ at two high profile events and it was a genuine pleasure to work with him. He’s an excellent entertainer and incredibly reliable. He was punctual, personable, and professional while creatively getting our event attendees to have fun and relax. He served as an announcer as well as the DJ and the high-level of service he gave us was extremely appreciated.”

“I just wanted you know that the kids had a great time last Saturday night and were very complimentary of you! I spoke to the Junior Class sponsors and will be passing Joel’s name and number as well as your name on to them for potential DJ for prom in the spring. Just wanted you to have a heads up!”
